How do I know if my switchboard needs upgrading?
Common signs are ceramic fuses instead of circuit breakers, no safety switch, breakers that trip repeatedly, a board that's warm to touch, or visible scorch marks. Unplug everything on that circuit and try again. If it resets, plug appliances back in one at a time to find the faulty one. If it still won't reset with nothing plugged in, stop and call a licensed electrician rather than repeatedly forcing it.
