Fan Only, Or Fan And Light

A fan with a light built in keeps one fitting in the middle of the ceiling. A fan without one needs the room lit another way, often with LED downlights.

Outdoors

Verandahs and patios need a fan made for outdoor use, one rated for dust and weather. An indoor fan under a verandah does not last in Alice Springs.
